Saturday morning. John,
Mary and Cindy are having breakfast together at the hotel’s
restaurant. They are ready to go and visit Michael again
at the hospital. They
are talking when they suddenly see Michael approaching the
table where they are sitting.)

Mary y Cindy están desayunando juntos en el restaurante
del hotel. Están
listos para ir a ver de nuevo a Michael en el hospital.
Están conversando cuando de repente ven a Michael
que se acerca a la mesa donde están sentados. )

Mary:
Michael, what a pleasant surprise!
What are you doing here?
Did you escape from the hospital?
Yesterday when we went to see you in the afternoon
you were sleeping so deeply due to the shot that they gave
you that we did not want to bother you and we decided to
come back to the hotel.

(Mary): Michael, qué sorpresa tan agradable! Qué estás haciendo por aquí?
Te escapaste del hospital? Ayer que llegamos a verte
por la tarde estabas tan dormido por la inyección que te
pusieron que no te quisimos molestar y decidimos mejor
venirnos al hotel.

Michael: Yes,
yesterday I fell asleep as soon as you left.
In the afternoon the nurse woke me up to have my
radiology tests done and when I got
back to the room I fell asleep again until this
morning.

Michael: Sí, ayer
me dormí tan pronto como ustedes se fueron.
Por la tarde la enfermera me despertó para hacerme
los exámenes de radiología y cuando regresé a la
habitación me volví a dormir hasta hoy por la maňana.

John:
Well, but what did the doctor say?
Did he release you or did you escape? I hope we don’t
have to take you back against your will.

John:
Bueno, pero
qué dijo el doctor? Te
dió de alta o te escapaste?
Espero que no
tengamos que llevarte de regreso en contra de tu voluntad!

Michael:
No, not at all. The doctor released me because the tests
came out well. He
says that my headache is due to a lot of stress and that I
have to learn to relax.

Michael: No, nada de eso.
El
doctor me dio de alta porque los exámenes salieron bien.
El dice que
mi dolor de cabeza se debe a mucho stress y que debo
aprender a relajarme.

Cindy:
Well, then we have the perfect solution for you!
We’re going to Cancún this Monday.
And best of all is the price at which we got the
trip. I am sure that this trip will be very good
for you. It
will be like a medication for you.

Cindy: Entonces te tenemos la solución perfecta!
Nos vamos este lunes a Cancún!
Y lo mejor de todo es el precio al que conseguimos
el viaje. Estoy segura de que este viaje te va a caer

No, it’s true. We are leaving very early on Monday. We have to be at 5:00 am at the airport.

John:
No, es cierto.
Salimos muy temprano el lunes.

Mary: We
are so happy that you are fine and that that headache is
not something serious! Oh! and it’s great that you got
out from the hospital today because today is the piňata
to which Marta invited us . I was sad because I thought that you were going to
miss that party.

Mary:
Nos alegramos tanto de que estés bien y que no sea
nada serio ese dolor de cabeza! Y qué bueno que saliste
hoy del hospital porque hoy es la piňata a la que nos
invitó Marta, la amiga de Cindy. Yo estaba triste porque
pensé que te ibas a perder esa fiesta.

Michael:
Thank you friends.
I am also very happy.
I am feeling very well now and I appreciate all you
have done for me.
John:
That’s what friends are for.
We did it with pleasure.
Mary:
It’s true. But we’re not going to stay here talking
all day, are we? We
have a lot of things to do.
We have to go and buy the present for tonight’s piňata.
Cindy: It’s
true. If you
don’t mention it I almost forget about it.
We’d better hurry up.
John:
Ok, girls, let’s go but don’t forget that we
have to take it easy since Michael just got out of the
hospital.
(That
evening John, Mary, Michael and Cindy go to the piňata.
There they have a lot of fun and get to know many
people.

Michael: Gracias, amigos.
Yo también estoy muy contento.
Me siento muy bien ahora y les agradezco mucho todo
lo que hicieron por mí.
John:
Para eso son los amigos.
Lo hicimos con mucho gusto.
Mary:
Es cierto. Pero, bueno, amigos, no nos vamos a quedar aquí todo el día
conversando, no? Tenemos muchas cosas que hacer.
Tenemos que ir a comprar el regalo para la piňata
de esta noche.
Cindy: Es cierto.
Si tú no lo mencionas a mí casi se me olvida.
Es mejor que nos apuremos.
John:
Bueno, chicas, vamos pero no se olviden de que hay
que tomar las cosas con calma, pues Michael apenas acaba de
salir del hospital.
(Esa noche John, Mary, Michael y Cindy van a la piňata
del hijo de Marta. Allí
se divierten mucho y conocen a muchas personas.)
