John,
Michael, Mary and Cindy are waiting for their food.
While they wait they see some mariachis that are
singing romantic songs for a couple in love.
John, Michael and Cindy are delighted at the
restaurant’s atmosphere. They are very excited to be in this country
and to know that they soon will visit many of the places
that each one of them is interested in.
For Cindy and Michael this is their first visit in
Mexico. John
and Mary had been in this country before and know some
places. They
have some friends in this city too.
While the food comes they start making plans for the
next day. Cindy
and Mary want to go first to a very famous market located
near the hotel where handcrafts are sold. Then they want to
go to the beach to take a sunbath in order to relax and
start enjoying their vacation time.
John and Michael want to visit some archeological
places and museums. Some
minutes go by when finally Carlos appears with the food.

John, Michael, Mary
y Cindy están en el restaurante esperando su comida.
Mientras esperan, ven unos mariachis que están
cantando canciones románticas para una pareja de enamorados. John,
Michael, Mary y Cindy están encantados del ambiente del restaurante. Ellos
están muy emocionados de estar en este país y de saber
que pronto irán a visitar muchos de los lugares que les
interesa a cada uno de ellos.
Para Cindy y Michael esta es su primera visita en México. John
y Mary ya habían estado antes en este país y conocen
algunos lugares. También
tienen algunos amigos en
esta ciudad. Mientras
viene la comida, ellos empiezan a hacer planes para el día siguiente. Cindy
y Mary quieren ir primero a un mercado muy famoso que queda
cerca del hotel donde venden artesanías.
Luego quieren ir
a una playa a tomar un bano de sol para relajarse y empezar
a gozar de sus vacaciones. John y Michael quieren ir a
visitar algunos sitios arqueólogicos y museos.
Unos minutos pasan cuando al fin aparece Carlos con
la comida.

Carlos:
Here is the food. Be
careful because the plates are very hot and you can burn
yourselves.

Carlos: Aquí está la comida.
Tengan cuidado porque los platos están muy
calientes y se pueden quemar.

I came to Mexico to learn the secrets of the Mexican
cuisine because I want to open my own restaurant in my
country.

Mary:
Sí, muchísimo.
Todo está delicioso.
Yo le quisiera preguntar a usted si sabe
dónde puedo yo tomar unas clases de cocina mejicana.
Yo vine a Méjico
para aprender los secretos de la cocina mejicana, pues yo
quiero abrir mi propio restaurante en mi país.

Unfortunately I don’t know of any place but I have an
idea you are going to like. Why don’t you come to the restaurant
tomorrow in the morning and you go in the kitchen to see
how we fix the food?

Francisco: Ah! Lamentablemente no sé de ningún lugar, pero tengo una idea que le va a
gustar.
